become smarter than your opponent and adjust to his strengths and apply your best techniques

example at the last tourney, which pitbull placed first at, side step and fire a circular technique
ie. he rushes straight in you move to the side and execute a ridgehand
or he blitzes and you move back and execute a side kick with the lead leg
my favorites have been to lean back and do a lead leg hook kick
or what has worked for me has been a jump spinning back kick
