10.5 Things To START Doing That Require ZERO Talent
The Warrior Habits That Build Discipline
By Grandmaster Griffin
In my previous article, I talked about 10.5 things to quit that require zero talent.
Now it’s time for the other side of the warrior equation.
Because success is not just about what you remove from your life.
It’s also about what you install into your daily habits.
Champions don’t wait for motivation.
They practice disciplines that require zero talent but produce powerful results.
If you start doing these consistently, your life will move in a different direction.
⸻
1️⃣ Start Showing Up Early
Punctuality is a form of respect.
Showing up early shows respect for:
• the opportunity
• the people around you
• the mission you are pursuing
Warriors are rarely late.
Preparation begins before the moment arrives.
⸻
2️⃣ Start Listening More Than You Talk
There is wisdom in silence.
Many people talk too much and learn too little.
A disciplined mind listens first.
Observe.
Absorb.
Then speak with purpose.
⸻
3️⃣ Start Practicing Daily
Martial arts teaches a powerful truth:
Consistency beats intensity.
A little practice every day builds unstoppable skill.
You don’t need talent to practice.
You need commitment.
⸻
4️⃣ Start Finishing What You Begin
Many people start projects.
Few people finish them.
Completion builds confidence.
Each finished task trains your mind to become stronger and more reliable.
⸻
5️⃣ Start Encouraging Others
A true warrior lifts others up.
Encouragement costs nothing but creates enormous value.
Your words can give someone the strength to keep going when they feel like quitting.
⸻
6️⃣ Start Controlling Your Attitude
Life will test you.
Problems will appear.
But your attitude is always your responsibility.
A disciplined attitude can turn obstacles into training.
⸻
7️⃣ Start Learning Every Day
Your mind must stay sharp.
Read.
Study.
Observe.
Every day you should gain at least one new piece of knowledge.
Growth is the true path of mastery.
⸻
8️⃣ Start Respecting Your Body
Your body is your first dojo.
Treat it like sacred training ground.
Move daily.
Stretch often.
Eat wisely.
Physical discipline strengthens mental discipline.
⸻
9️⃣ Start Being Reliable
If you say you will do something…
Do it.
Reliability builds trust.
And trust builds reputation.
⸻
🔟 Start Taking Responsibility
Excuses weaken the warrior spirit.
Responsibility strengthens it.
Take ownership of your mistakes.
Then use them as lessons for growth.
⸻
10.5 — Start Believing In Your Assignment
Every person has a purpose.
Every warrior has a mission.
Too many people spend their lives chasing what others expect.
Instead, believe in the assignment placed in your life.
As I often teach my students:
In your assignment is your abundance.
In your assignment is your freedom.
When you walk your path with discipline, doors begin to open.
⸻
The Warrior Discipline
The path of mastery is not complicated.
But it does require commitment.
You do not need special talent to develop powerful habits.
You only need:
• awareness
• discipline
• consistency
When you remove destructive habits and install disciplined ones…
Your life transforms.
